Medical check-up and sick days

No Child is to attend daycare when sick. The definition of sick, including but not limited to:

Fever of any degree( child needs to be fever free and Tylenol free for 24 hours before returning to the center)

Children must be free of diarrhea or vomiting for at least 24 hours, without the use of any medications

Skin rashes(must be seen by a doctor and written permission for the child to attend)

All communicable diseases including pink eye must have a doctor's written permission before returning to the center.

Head lice must have initial treatment and be nit free.

In the event of illness the parent shall receive a call from the center asking for immediate pickup. Where there are a number of children and families sharing the facility, it is unfair for all children to receive exposure to the illness, which increases the likelihood that your child could become ill.

In the event of a fall or accident requiring medical attention the parent or guardian will be notified as quickly as possible.

For children who are on medication but showing no signs of illness, medication must be given in original container. A consent form must be signed by the parent giving the daycare permission to administer the medication as well stating time and dosage to be administered.
